On October 8th, 2005, Winnipeg-based wrestling promotion Action Wrestling Entertainment held an event where 6 episodes of the weekly TV show “AWE Overload” were taped. The first match on the first episode was Kenny Omega vs. Ryan Wood. This match occurred just a few weeks before Kenny travelled to Deep South Wrestling to become a part of WWE Developmental. AWE Overload began airing in January 2006 on The Fight Network in Canada and lasted 7 episodes. AWE folded later that year and the ownership status of it’s assets are unknown. The original production company, MediaCircus.TV (now known as Sugar Cube Entertainment) has the master tapes from the first 6 episodes, and this match is taken straight from that master tape.
