Omega travelled back to Canada and the U.S. for the month to be in PCW and ROH shows. He wrestled Austin Aries at an ROH show in Philadelphia, then tag teamed with his old mentor Mentallo at a show in Manitoba.

Here’s a couple of photos from the ROH show, but a LOT more in-ring action shots of the match can be viewed HERE

March 4: Non-Fix – Ibushi defeats Michael Nakazawa (always) in a match for Michael’ “career improvement” – whatever that means. Nakazawa expressed interest in a rematch, however Ibushi stated he was booked for other opponents, much to Nakazawa’s disappointment1. Michael’s arm, which Ibushi kicked during their match, was still hurting the next day.

March 7: Bookstore wrestling!! Yes, DDT managed to find a mall that had a bookstore willing to let a bunch of crazy wrestlers tear the place up for the day. Of course king of street wrestling Ibushi participated.

“in the wrestling show like this, no one can beat the charm of Ibushi. His unpredictable attack is amazing, but above all the innocent and purely fun childish eyes that he occasionally showed during the match were very impressive.”

Ibushi manages to wear a sales clerk apron the entire time, which I appreciate.

Here’s Omega at ROH’s show Stylin’ & Profilin’ March 11 with Claudio Castagnoli, Silas Young, and Austin Aries:

3.11. Ibushi poses with fake injuries for a poster

The very next day he was in ROH’s Insanity Unleashed in a three way match against Claudio Castagnoli and Bryan Danielson. This must have been a fun match, but unfortunately I cannot find it posted online anywhere at this time.

March 15: Ibushi had a full day, wrestling for Hard Hit EMOTION and  Toyonaka Love Story 2009 the same day.

Photos from the DDT show:

After the tag team portion of the Hard Hit show was done, Ibushi called out Akihiko Mori, stating he wanted a one-on-one punch out and the two smack each other around for a bit. Not sure how it turned out exactly.

March 19: Kota and Michael hang out with Referee Matsui for a bit and eat dinner with him. Then Nakazawa goes to Ibushi’s house to play GTA4. Ibushi is just as reckless and daring in games as he is in some of his match stunts. According to Nakzawa, “It seems that Mr. Ibushi is addicted to relieving stress by jumping from a high-rise building and committing suicide recently in this game. Certainly, it’s a pretty realistic feeling of falling. I was horrified.”

March 20: Daisuke Sekimoto & Yuji Okabayashi defeat Kota Ibushi & Shigehiro Irie at DDT’s March Special.

March 22: Ibushi defeats Daisuke Masaoka at a DDT show. There’s no super clear pics of Ibushi. But if you want some pics from the show, and a report of what all went down, go here.

March 24: Kengo Mashimo & Ibushi defeat KAZMA & Yuji Hino at a Kaientai Dojo show.

March 27-29: Ibushi participates in CHIKARA King of Trios shows in Pennsylvania, wrestling both solo and in tag teams. He defeats El Generico and Nick Jackson on night two of the event during a four-way elimination match, and was able to go on to win the finals round in the tournament, against Player Dos. So a pretty positive end to the month for him.
