Omega had spent the month of March in Canada and the U.S. and he continued to stay for the entire month of April as well, with a crowded schedule of nearly back-to-back shows for ROH, PCW, and PWG.

Here’s a bizarre little video uploaded to youtube by manhattandrop where Ibushi meets a ring announcer in an ally in the U.S. while he was spending a few days in Philadelphia wrestling at Chikara shows.

Here’s a photo Nakazawa took of Ibushi eating pancakes and ice cream after one of the Chikara shows.

Kenny would be in Philly just a couple weeks later, but Ibushi was back to wrestling for DDT by then so I think the two just missed each other, though who knows.

April 5: DDT Judgement. Ibushi has a 24 minute match against Taiji Ishimori.

Just a few days later, Ibushi and DDT referee Matsui go on a day trip to Karuizawa, hanging out at a hotel and hot springs. Ibushi exclaims he would like to wrestle there. The man’s got a one-track mind.

April 12: The famous PWG 100 match with Kenny and Bryan Danielson doing the Song That Never Ends. In later interviews when this match has come up, Omega has stated that it was his idea to do something completely off the wall during the show, and that Danielson was skeptical but ultimately went along, and it became one of the most talked about things to this day. To me, this is what truly sets wrestlers apart, when they are able to come up with fun creative ideas and take some risks for the sake of entertainment.
