March 5th, DDT Referee Matsui visits the Saitama Super Arena, which he describes as being absolutely huge, with an overwhelming number of seats. He runs into Ibushi, who is eating ice cream, chicken, chocolate, and drinking a Coke. This boy’s diet sometimes…
March6th, Ibushi participates in DDT’s Sengoku Festival. I’m unable to find information on this event, so am afraid I cannot report much of what took place there. However, Referee Matsui was able to capture the outfit Ibushi wore for it, and posted it to his blog, stating he believed DDT was the perfect addition to the event.
Today, Mr. Ibushi had a photoshoot at Mid Breath, a gym in Hatsudai, for the final stage of his body modification project for “Cool Body” magazine. Ibushi-san had a nice tan and a slightly different haircut. Please check out the April 23 issue of the magazine to see how his body looks! He was pushing himself hard to get pumped up before the shoot, but it looked like it was tough. After the shoot, we held a party for Mr. Ibushi, who was freed from his weight loss, at Gyubou in Tateishi. He used to eat a lot of meat without worrying about fat and calories, but it seems that he has become very sensitive to fat and calories. (lol).
March 26th Kenny travels to Phoenix, Arizona for ROH’s From the Ashes show, where he faces Kevin Steen. Only a few matches have ever happened between these two, but they’re always a fun watch. You can intermittently find them posted to youtube, though they are also frequently taken down. If you see one floating about, have a watch.
I love how casually he just gymnasts his way into this pin:
Omega’s pin may have been pretty, but it doesn’t do the job. Steen leaves arena that night with his first singles win against Omega, evening out the win Omega had obtained over Steen back in November 2009 at Battle of Lost Angeles.
Omega does one more ROH show while in Phoenix, against Rocky Romero, before he heads back to Japan for the month of April 2010.
